The Coolest Neighborhood in Downtown Sarasota

Stephanie's guest house was as advertised and better. Great location for a visit to our son in downtown Sarasota, we walked to Main St. and enjoyed the great restaurants, bars and shops. Her place is very well and comfortably furnished with everything you need to make your stay easy. We used her beach supplies for a day of boating, it was nice not having to bring our own towels. A very safe and quiet location and free parking included. This is a 5 star rental in a great location, don't pass on it.

We loved coming back to stay here! Clean, so much to do within walking distance, as well as extremely accommodating!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the carriage house for a weekend getaway and it was lovely. Stephanie was an amazing host and she was easy to communicate with when it came to any request’s and questions/concerns we had. We enjoyed how the carriage home was so close to downtown so we used the bikes that Stephanie provided for us to explore the town. The kayaks were also a fun plus to top it all off! Loved how clean and organized everything was and I would definitely recommend anyone to come and stay at this Airbnb!

Stephanie is an awesome host, very approachable, and ensures her guests are comfortable at all times. The apartment was very clean and nice, and the description and pictures are just as it appears. The unit is conveniently located in the middle of the town within walking distance, and the beaches and beach hangout spots are literally 10 minutes away. I had no complaints. Overall great experience. My family and I loved it.

Honestly was a great place to stay at Stephanie got everything set up for us when we asked about the kayaks. Also gave us any information we needed about where to go, it’s honestly a great place to stay and my boyfriend and I will definitely be back again.

Visited Sarasota for weekend getaway. Amazing hosts and place. Such a charming studio apt and exactly as advertised! Location was ideal for walking to waterfront and Main St. We enjoyed a stunning beach day at Lido Key Beach and a light dinner at Venezia in St. Armand’s. We didn’t have time to use the bikes or kayaks this time around, but we’ll definitely come back again!

Stephanie’s place is amazing! It was immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the snacks provided and she also had the fridge stocked with coffee creamer and some adult beverages. 10/10 recommend!

Our stay was amazing!! We truly enjoyed all the amenities they had to offer us. From assisting us with the grill and kayaks to allowing us to use the beach supplies. The variety of appliances made it super easy to cook and making the decision to book an Airbnb vs a hotel that much easier. They truly made our stay feel like a vacation with some adventure that we were craving as a break from our jobs! Would book with them again!

Great location My wife and I spend three nights here and loved our stay. While here for a wedding, we took advantage of the complimentary beach chairs and enjoyed one of the amazing nearby beaches. Additionally, the Carriage House is within walking distance to several restaurants and bars.

This is an excellent and clean place to stay, within walking distance of Selby Gardens, the best vegan cafe in town and a cinema! I loved the quiet neighborhood and all the lovely amenities in the apartment. Would rent again!

Great quiet neighborhood close to downtown of Sarasota. Tasteful room with many extras, even massage chair! We rode bikes to Bayfront park to watch a sunset, eat fish tacos and listen music. This is the perfect location to explore Sarasota The only time we used our vehicle was to go to the beach. Communication is great. Stephanie was an excellent source of information for restaurants and places to go. The place is adorable, clean, and well stocked with whatever we needed

I'm happy to share that we had a wonderful time at the Carriage House. While it's not on the water, it's only a short drive to Lido beach/St Armand's Circle and Siesta Key beaches (which is where we spent the majority of our time), and a short walk to Downtown Sarasota.
After a day on the beach, it was nice to come back, refresh, and walk or bike downtown for dinner. There are many restaurants to choose from, we liked the gf pizza at The Fountain, it's a small space with outdoor dining, very chill place to have a few apps n cocktails, another evening, we enjoyed drinks n dancing to a live band at Mattison's City Grille.
Stephanie's a warm and welcoming host, it was a pleasure to chat with she and her husband, lovely couple, which reflects in their hospitality.

Amenities we appreciated:
*BIKES, nice ones. We crisscrossed all over downtown and the smaller neighborhoods adjacent to the Carriage House.
*Kayaks, while we didn't get to use them, as the tide wasn't quite right, two kayaks are available to use.
*Comfortable King size bed. Best sleep we've had on vacation.
*Beach chairs, jumbo size beach towels, and umbrella.
*Sunscreen and aloe, both of which we used-thank you.

The area is SO quiet and tucked away; yet close to everything.

Stephanie has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Next time were in SW Florida we'll no doubt return to the Carriage House.

The Carriage House is a sweet spot on the edge of downtown. Beautiful neighborhood and perfect distance for walking to downtown and the Bay area. Lovely patio area for sitting outside to enjoy morning coffee or the evening calm. Hosts were fantastic with lots of information about the area. Very enjoyable.

Loved staying at the Carriage House. There was so much thought and detail in what a guest would need and want included. Loved the book about the area and suggested hot spots included in the manual. Just wish we had more time to spend visiting.

Everything was perfect! It was great not having to worry about the little things that other airbnbs don't bother to consider. For example, there was plenty of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap, dish soap and even a few snacks and drinks. Everything was very clean and comfortable. For us, it was the location that was key- walking distance to endless shops and restaurants. Plus, just a short drive to St. Armands circle, the beach and the Ringling Estate. We hope to be back soon!

I am (humbly) a very discerning guest and here's my assessment.

First and foremost, this place was (Website hidden by Airbnb) musty smell, no (Website hidden by Airbnb) nasty carpets...just clean wood floors. The bathroom and shower was spotless....

The furnishings were high-quality...the bed was king-sized and beautifully comfortable with what seemed to be memory foam. A efficient washer/dryer combo. Oversized TV. Strong Wi-Fi. A wonderful massage chair!

Bikes to ride...kayaks to borrow...beach "things" (umbrella/cooler, etc.).

Aside from this unit, Sarasota is wonderful. Elegant and artsy, and urban, yet you are never far from nature and gorgeous ocean and bay views.

The location is superb....a safe/upscale/quiet yet funky neighborhood....within comfortable walking to distance to Downtown shops, restaurants and other excellent destinations. World-class beaches are a short drive away.

Communication with Stephanie was seamless...I needed nothing....but she was there if I did.

I can't say enough about this place...everything is high-quality, including the hosts.

We loved our Stay in Sarasota. This guest house is a great place for 1-2 people. It is well stocked for anything you might need and we enjoyed the large kitchen. The location is perfect, within a short walk to downtown but separate from any noisy commotion. We also really enjoyed the kayaks with the boat ramp just around the block.

This is a great place to stay! It’s located on a quaint street with beautiful homes. It was very clean and had everything we needed and more. It really is located in a very cool neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

We rode the bikes provided a little over a half mile to Main Street for brunch before riding over to the nearby Whole Foods to pick up some snacks. On our way back, we stopped at the gelato store which served “healthy” gelato and sorbet, which was made on-site with no preservatives. We also went to the beach where we made use of the provided beach chairs. We didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks - maybe next time. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place near downtown Sarasota. Perfect for one or a couple. Very clean garage apartment behind main residence with an amazing shower, modern amenities, and great landscaping around the outside. Walking/biking distance to any number of cool bars/restaurants as well as the Bayfront area. Stephanie kept in great contact in the day/hours leading up to my stay and was always available if I needed a response or info. I imagine I'll be back if she'll have me

Our stay at Stephanie's was great and the location was perfect! Grabbing coffee from Project Coffee in the morning and walking around the pretty neighborhood. Also a quick walk to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner - Owen's Fish Camp. The space was super clean with lots of amenities. Stephanie was great with communication and helpful in making recommendations for brunch and other things in the area. We hope to stay at Stephanie's airbnb again!

If you plan on visiting Sarasota, you can't beat this perfect little carriage house. It's in a quiet neighborhood but only a short walk to the hub of activity in downtown Sarasota. We explored other towns and beaches during the day and walked downtown every night. We loved our stay. The place is clean, comfortable, private, and has just about everything you would need. So much better than staying in a hotel! Not to mention, Stephanie was a very attentive and helpful host. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

Stephanie’s place was PERFECT! It was clean and provided all the amenities needed for a great vacation. We were visiting Sarasota mainly for Siesta Keys but fell in love with Lido Key based on the recommendations in the travel manual Stephanie put together-definitely check it out.

The massage chair was great! The mattress was comfortable. We didn’t get a chance to use the outside patio but thought it was a nice option for a night in.

Stephanie kept in touch with us and even allowed us to check in early and check out late. We will definitely be back and are even considering checking out one of her other places!

AMAZING LOCATION. Everything you could want is within walking distance or no more than 20 minute driving. Stephanie was very accommodating and great at checking in with anything needs. Clean, relaxing and super convenient.

This was such a great stay for us. We did a best friend’s trip and staying at the apartment at Laurel Park was perfect for us. We were walking and biking distance from the wonderful downtown area. The beach was just a short drive as was St. Armand’s Circle for MORE food and shopping.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The massage chair was a welcome surprise. We took advantage of the kayak and the bikes and had such a blast!

We used the kayak to paddle to a beautiful park and see so many cool things along the way. Stephanie makes for an amazing host! Check-in was so easy and she was great with giving directions and instructions. The Carriage House was clean, cute, and well stocked! Having stayed in dozens of homes in the past years, the care and preparation for this place is outstanding. I particularly enjoyed a bike and kayak trip during my stay. Very cool bennie. And don't get me started on the massage chair.... yeah.

Our stay was amazing! The property had everything we needed and more from the full kitchen, coolers, bikes, kayaks, and beach chairs, we didn't have to worry about packing a lot. The room was perfect, clean, and comfortable and what can I say, the massage chair was such a great extra. The location was awesome being downtown and 10-15 minutes from all of the beaches and hot spots. Our favorite was riding the bikes all over town. We used them every day. We felt very safe walking and riding at night downtown as well. So many great places to eat and explore being in the heart of town. If you love Italian food this is the place to be. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Stephanie was so helpful when we needed something and offered plenty of recommendations for things to do and offered helpful tips. I would highly recommend staying here and would not think twice about booking here again when back in the area.

This property is just as advertised. Private and beautifully decorated. Very walkable neighborhood, close to fun restaurants. Make sure you are ok with stairs, this chubby old lady made the climb just fine! The place was spotless and Stephanie communicated effectively at every opportunity. We had no complaints at all.

Terrific spot in a very central location in downtown Sarasota. Our friends, who stayed in a nearby hotel, were so jealous! We walked to Owens Fish Camp Restaurant (always love it there!), and only wish we had had more time to explore. Having lived in Sarasota for two brief stints, we knew that we'd like the location but it was better than expected! You won't be disappointed!

This place was by far the best place we have ever stayed. Perfect location, well appointed apartment, quiet and private. We had kayaks to use, beach bikes and beach chairs and umbrella. Two most important things for me when I AirBnB: a good mattress and a good location. Both are GREAT at Stephanie's place. Bonus: a good shower, good snacks, good decor and hello! a massage chair. Stephanie even supplied beach chairs and towels for a quick jaunt to Lido. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Really wanted to take a nighttime kayak adventure, but the weather did not allow for that! lets just start this out with a bang, awesome little carriage house to stay at! Stephanie is a quick responder and delivers excellent hospitality. My partner and I took a quick trip to Sarasota to do some new sight seeing and get out of the colder states. the location of this airbnb is perfect for anyone that wants a quick walk to the beautiful shore line, or to visit the small shops locally, to a fast walk to the near by Whole Foods Market. we had a great time using the bikes that are provided as well as the little touches to this place like the off street private parking for the rental car to the Keurig cups ready to brew in the mornings.

Stephanie's carriage house studio is a perfect location for walking to many places in Sarasota, yet not directly downtown, but in an historic neighborhood. All the amenities one could wish for! Highly recommended!

This is a great location and Stephanie provides little surprises we weren't expecting. Great local restaurants within walking distance. A historic neighborhood with a mix of old and new. The Saturday market is fun to attend. Lots of things to do minutes from the carriage house. We had a wonderful time.

The carriage house was immaculate throughout with excellent kitchenware and appliances. The bed was super comfy but the best amenity was the fantastic massage chair! We both thoroughly enjoyed it and were even more relaxed after our visit. Highly recommend!

Stephanie's place was just perfect for my girlfriend and I to spend our anniversary at, everything was so clean, the location was great, we loved rolling the kayaks over to the launch area. The place was very private, but Stephanie was still very available and easily reached. Our only regret was not staying longer.

In fact, the only mistake that could be made is not picking this as your next vacation head quarters. Actually, scratch that. Do not stay here because I want to be able to book it again!

We stayed for a staycation in Sarasota knowing the area quite well. We were shocked at the location of this venue. Tucked away in a perfect nook with kayak access, bikes to get you anywhere downtown or st armands, and all the amenities you could want. 6/5 with the great host. Will return.

We recommend a stay with Stephanie her place is extremely clean very homey and she’s such a nice host! Any questions were answered within 10 minutes. So much fun things to do here all within 10 minutes. Our anniversary trip here was spectacular and we will definitely be returning!!!

Perfect location We loved staying in the carriage house! It was a perfect location from which to walk to great restaurants, bars, the harbor, or just to stroll around the neighborhood. The beautiful beaches were within a 20-30 minute drive. Beach chairs and beach towels were provided for us, another plus. Didn’t get to use the bikes, but we got our exercise walking everywhere, every day. The owner was great to communicate with. She made sure we had everything we needed. Really appreciated the welcome basket and the coffee and creamers. Having a washer and dryer right in the closet was a big plus. The apartment was perfect for a short stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the sheets were so luxurious. We fell in love with Sarasota, and will be back.

Lovely vacation spot in Sarasota Great location in Sarasota - one can walk everywhere in downtown Sarasota. The pictures are accurate. It is a spotless and well maintained remodeled top floor of a carriage house and has everything one or two people need - well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, nice linens and an outdoor space with a table and chairs on a patio. Stephanie is delightful and communicated very well with any questions we had. We would stay here again when we are in Sarasota. Thank you, Stephanie for a wonderful week in Laurel Park!!

The apartment was just as great as it looked online. Super clean, REALLY great kitchen, and light and airy from the lovely big window. The neighborhood is very cool, be sure and walk around and check out all the interesting homes. Walking distance to tons of restaurants, coffee shops and cultural venues. Stephanie and her husband offer such a beautiful place to stay in a great location to just about everything in Sarasota. Everything was just as they described in their listing. We walked or rode (their bikes) everywhere including to St. Armand's and Lido Key! We weren't in a car our whole stay. Because of their location it's so easy to get around and not drive. Anything that you might need for a wonderful stay in Sarasota is easily accessed from their place like groceries, incredible restaurants, live music, coffee shops, museums, walking trails etc. They were incredibly accommodating hosts and very quick to respond to our questions and offered great suggestions on things to do or restaurants to visit. Some of our favorite activities: Marie Selby Botanical Gardens (a must see), MURT trail to St. Armand's and Lido Key, Payne Park. Some of our favorite restaurants were Owen's Fish Camp (although because of the wait of 2 hours we ate off their limited menu out back which was not our favorite meal in Sarasota but the scene in the back is priceless), Selva, Libby's, Amore. For coffee shops we really enjoyed Kahwa and Pastry Art. It seemed like there were endless great food and drink choices. Stephanie's place is definitely someplace we will come back to!

We are locals who are expecting another baby and needed a day to sleep in before baby arrives! Stephanie was absolutely wonderful! She gave suggestions on local restaurants to visit, places to bike to, and even informed us about the art festival that was going on. We ended up eating at The Fountain and Owen's Fish Camp on Saturday, and went to OfKors bakery for breakfast on Sunday. Everything was delicious! The studio was immaculate and the massage chair was heavenly! We have already spread the word to friends and family because we had such an amazing time! We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking with Stephanie!

This was hands down one of our best experiences in places that we have stayed. Stephanie's place is so clean, comfortable, beautiful and in such a great location. We were able to walk or ride bikes everywhere. We never took advantage of the kayaks this trip but hope to the next time. The launch for the kayaks is truly right around the corner. There are so many great restaurants and activities to do around the city. And it's a nice bike ride over to St. Armand's and Lido beach. If you've never been to Sarasota it's definitely worth a visit. We loved it there! And a big reason for that was where we stayed and our hosts being so engaging and accommodating.

Great Getaway My husband and I live full time in Naples, Fl and were looking for a weekend getaway. We attended a marriage seminar in Sarasota and did not want to stay in a traditional hotel setting. The Carriage House was intimate, well equipped, and comfortable. We appreciated the accommodations and we will come back!

I had a great stay while staying at Stephanie’s place. It was a large studio upstairs apartment that had everything I needed. It was also very clean. There were plenty of restaurants and bars located in walking distance. The beach was only a short drive away. Stephanie was a great host and responded back quickly to any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this place to both family and friends.

Nice space in a quiet location within walking distance to many attractions. We recommend taking the kayak out to the mouth of the bay which is about a 25-30 minute trip out and skirts Selby Botanical Gardens. Although we did not have an opportunity to use the bicycles, it was nice that they were available, as were a couple of beach chairs. The space has a large wall mounted TV WITH local channels which is something not always available in some AirBnB spaces. This was appreciated especially when we had a couple of rain showers/downpours that held us up temporarily. Stephanie was a very friendly and responsive host.

Everything about this place is great!!! The host, the location, the apartment itself. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood but within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Stephanie was an extremely responsive host - always getting right back in touch with me if I had any questions. The apartment itself was very comfortable. There's even a welcome basket of snacks and a couple of bottled waters in the fridge which is so nice to have when you have been traveling. There are two bikes provided which we used on the MURT Trail. Easy access and easy riding along the bay - all the way over to St. Armand Key. It was beautiful. I also ran the trail and it was awesome!!! We rented a car just because we were interested in checking out all the nearby keys. There is a lot to see and do. The apartment is really very centrally located for accessing all the keys, no destination we went to was over 30 minutes and the views when riding through the keys were amazing! We also rented a boat for a day at the nearby Marina Jack. Even though we don't have a whole lot of boating experience, it was easy to navigate the waterways and we spent a great day out on the water. The apartment is a great value - definitely the most for your money, in what can be a very "pricey" area. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area. I only wish we would have had time to take the kayak out. The launch was only a block away and it looked like it would be a lot of fun. May be next time!

No better value in Sarasota. We were a short walk into town, but even shorter with the bikes provided. When we went to the beach we had beach towels and chairs and even an umbrella included. Access to the place was super easy and located in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen has some excellent amenities like the microwave oven and hot plate. There was an ice machine which came in handy. Most of all we enjoyed using the washer/dryer to clean all our clothes before coming home. Stephanie had a little welcome letter, snacks and chocolates on the bed. Little touches go a long way. If we return I would stay here again no question.

This was our second two night stay at Stephanie's place, one year apart. When we arrived the accommodations looked just as fresh and new as the year before, and we immediately felt at home. Not a lot of space, but the single room is well organized and comfortable. You can't beat the location for access to downtown Sarasota. We again enjoyed a 25 minute walk across town for breakfast at the Toasted Mango, and spent some time on a park bench overlooking the bay. Stephanie is a welcoming and attentive host. You do need to walk up a full flight of stairs for entry, something to consider if you're not in the best health. We had no problems.

Stephanie’s carriage house was a perfect landing place after days of long walks enjoying everything this great city has to offer. She offered a very personal touch (including tech support from her son if I needed it) which I appreciated. This was a great way to be in the heart of town without being in a crowded hotel room. What a fantastic place to stay! The space is beautifully decorated, there are many thoughtful touches throughout, and the bathroom was nice and big. We loved having our coffee in the patio area in the morning.

The location was perfect for us to walk to many of the local restaurants along with being tucked away in a quaint beautiful neighborhood. The rental was absolutely spotless which was important to us but the location was the top priority. We were able to get easily to Venice, Siesta and Lido key for the beaches but was also a good home base to get to some of the bigger cities. From this location we also were able to travel to St. Petersburg, Tampa and Naples. I would definitely stay here again and plan to! Thank you Stephanie!!

This cute, comfortable carriage house is in a great location. Laurel Park has fun shops, great restaurants, a movie theater, etc., but it’s also an easy walk to Main Street. We used the available kayak as well as the bicycles. The beach bag (with towels and sunscreen) as well as chairs and umbrella were great for our day on Lido Beach. We would love to come back and stay here again!!

Stephanie's guest cottage is immaculately clean, bright and comfortable. She's a very responsive host and has provided every amenity, including thoughtful touches such as guidebooks and a welcome basket with snacks. The washer/dryer was a plus. We loved the location, in a quiet neighborhood but within easy walking distance of the wonderful Marie Selby Botanical Garden, lots of good restaurants, the harbor, and downtown Sarasota. This was one of the best airbnb experiences we've had.

I was just looking for a fun and easy “girls weekend” with my 5 year old daughter. This ended up being exactly what I was looking for. The location couldn’t be better. Very walkable to great food and events. We biked to a sweet park for a picnic and playground time. The carriage house was well appointed with a fantastic layout making it very comfortable. Stephanie was so kind and thoughtful. We loved our time there.

You'll feel really taken care of staying at this place. The carriage house was immaculate, private, and beautiful. Stephanie is a great communicator and was thoughtful about the little touches to make your stay really homey and comfortable. There was a basket of snacks, a coffee machine, a beach bag with beach towels and suntan lotion, and the place even had a massage chair. There was a washer/dryer and a laundry basket and ironing board. The location was great - walking distance to downtown Sarasota and Bay front park. There was a bit of construction in the immediate area but still felt extremely safe. If you're looking to stay in downtown this is a wonderful spot.

Stephanie’s apartment exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean and perfectly laid out. There were so many personal touches and she has thought of everything!
The location is great for touring around on the bikes and walking around downtown. We were able to park our car and bike around for our entire stay.
Stephanie responded very quickly whenever we had any questions and had lots of local tips.

Fabulous location. I got up at sunrise to watch the morning awakenings in the mangrove. Great connection with nature. Lots of crabs scurrying about and a beautiful Herron strutting his stuff. The gatehouse was perfect.

We stayed at a bunch of different AirBnBs during a week of exploring Tampa/St Pete/Sarasota. Stephanie’s place was our favorite by far. She was a proactive host reaching out to us before our trip to see if we had any special needs. We got to meet her in person upon arrival which was a nice touch. The apartment was exactly as presented online. In addition it had the quietest A/C of any of the places we stayed. It wasn’t one that keeps cycling on/off just as your falling asleep - for which we were grateful. Also it was very clean and fresh. No air fresheners or others perfumes masking a musty smell. Cold water in fridge was welcome as we arrived on a super-hot afternoon. The fold out couch was comfortable, not a bar-in-the-back situation. We didn’t take advantage of the outdoor patio or bicycles but they were inviting. The massage chair was a fun extra as well.

We (2 women)walked to the downtown area for afternoon cocktails and dinner. It felt completely safe and it was nice to ditch the car for an evening.

I would whole-heartedly recommend this place and would stay here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Stephanie's carriage house in downtown Sarasota. Stephanie was there when we arrived and gave us a friendly welcome. The room was very clean, new and comfortable. It was a 5 minute walk to Owen's Fish Camp where we joined friends for a fun, unique dinner. The next morning we walked to the Toasted Mango for breakfast, a 25 minute stroll across downtown shopping district and past the Opera House. Complimentary coffee provided by Stephanie tasted especially good. As the posting says, you need to be able to climb a full set of stairs to get to the room. No problem for us. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Stephanie’s carriage house was the perfect spot for our week stay in Sarasota. The apartment was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully appointed with all the kitchen appliances and gadgets we needed to make a few meals in. The location can’t be beat- the area is charming and accesssible to wonderful restaurants, Sarasota Bay front and entertainment. We enjoyed using the comfortable bicycles all over town and over the scenic bridge to St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach. Stephanie and Mike were very gracious, friendly and helpful.

My wife and I loved staying a week at Stephanie’s. She was a great host and provided us with excellent recommendations of things to see and do. The location is very convenient and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and attractions, such as a botanical garden. The included use of bikes, a kayak and beach equipment was a definite bonus that saved us additional expense. The place was super clean and included everything advertised. We would definitely rent this place again for a future trip to Sarasota.

This is an exceptionally clean, comfortable, well appointed apartment, with many important touches, and a great host who really goes out of her way to ensure that everything goes smoothly. From this location you can easily walk to the downtown area for breakfast, dinner, or entertainment, or safely walk home from that area at night. Bus transportation to Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, St. Armands Circle, or even Venice is easy and inexpensive.

Stephanie's home truly exceeded my expectations! The space was beautiful, clean and in the absolute best location in Sarasota. The extra added touch was the massage chair. So relaxing after a day of walking! Stephanie provided everything I could need and then some. This was an amazing spot to explore Sarasota. The location was great but Stephanie and her husband helped inform us on the options we had in the area. The supplied bikes, a kayak, beach chairs, and umbrella. We missed out on a few of the items due to weather but we will have a second chance when we come back. Sarasota and Siesta keys are amazing vacations destinations and this place is great option to get your visit started.

We live just outside of Sarasota, but this place was such a nice get-a-way. There is such a nice art area in SRQ and fun restaurants to walk to from Stephanie's place which made this a treat. Thank you so much!!! Also, the massage chair is the best!!

The place was great! It's in a perfect spot. All eataries, beaches, and shopping places are close to the room! Room was very clean. It was a great vacation, can't wait to go back!

Do not hesitate to book. The space is not large but many benefits outweigh the size of the room. Mike and Stephanie give excellent tips on the area and are super nice people. Their sons will even help you get the sea kayak in the mangrove if they are around. The place has all high end fixtures and furnishings and the locations is amazing; downtown yet only 10-15 minutes from siesta beach or lido beach. Also their is a marina that you can bike to in less than 5 minutes, as well as take a short leisure bike ride at sunset over the Ringling Bridge. We had a great time! Thanks again!

The photos do not do justice to this beautiful carriage house apartment! It is state-of-the-art comfort, cozy and roomy, with an amazing massage chair. Stephanie is a wonderful host, and the place is stocked with everything you would need. I wish I had been able to stay longer than a weekend. It is walking distance to the most awesome, fun area of downtown Sarasota, yet secluded and quiet. Perfect for a couple who want a fun, romantic get-away, or for someone with business in the area. I will definitely visit again!

The unit is hotel-room size but clean, neat & has everything you need: comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom, sitting area with massage chair:) small kitchen and table for 2. The host has everything well-stocked. It's very inviting.
There are also bikes and a kayak available:) The location is great for walking to everything.

Wonderful week stay at Stephanie's! Everything was ready and prepared for us- all needed items that we planned to buy when we got there were already provided (beach bag with towels, chairs, beach umbrella -just to name a few)! We went to beaches daily so those were greatly needed! She was always quick to respond with any help or question we had. Beautiful, historic town to walk around. Loved our stay- will be back for sure!

I highly recommend this rental! Stephanie is responsive and easy to work with, and check in couldn't be simpler. Yes, this rental is spotlessly clean, and every detail has been considered to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Super comfy bed and fine linens, well-thought-out kitchenette and bath, and even a laundry machine (an inverter) and a fabulous massage chair! Laurel Park is the place to stay if you plan to explore all the wonderful downtown restaurants and activities. We'll be back!

Had a good time staying at Stephanie's. The place looks just like in the pictures. It is close to the the key downtown restaurants (about 5-10 mins walk). Stephanie was very responsive leading up to and through our stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Stephanie's carriage house. It was super clean, has a great kitchenette and is walkble to all the shops and restaurants downtown. The bikes and kayak were awesome bonus and we were able to make good use of both. Do not hesitate to rent this place if it's available.

The perfect studio apartment with a host who goes above and beyond.

Every single picture Stephanie has in regards to the property is spot on. It was cleaner than any hotel you'd stay at in the price range she offers with way more amenities. We stayed at the Carriage House for a week and it was absolutely perfect. There's an indie movie theater and great restaurants and shops within walking distance for nights we wanted to go out (Stephanie's suggestion of Owen's Fish Camp is a MUST - so good!). Nights we wanted to eat in we had all the appliances needed to cook which helped make our week long trip even more affordable.

She really thinks of every detail including leaving guidebooks about the area with things to do and see and even provides a beach bag with towels and beach chairs and roll-aways. This was perfect for us when we hit up Siesta Key.

One of my favorite amenities Stephanie provides is the massage chair. We took a day trip to Disney World and that chair was incredibly helpful after being on our feet all day.

Right now there is some construction going on in the area near the property which can make getting off the road a little tricky, but it's manageable and we didn't experience any excessive noise or anything like that. The neighborhood is actually quite peaceful. Stephanie really goes out of her way to make sure you feel welcome (she even left us a welcome note and cold water upon arrival) and lets you know that she's accessible if you ever need anything (but she has already thought of everything so it wasn't an issue). While she and her family were living right next door to us we never saw each other much so it really feels like you have your own place. For us this was the perfect Airbnb for our trip. We can't recommend it enough!

We had a very nice stay at Stephanie's Carriage House. The unit is exactly as advertised and very comfortable. It is walkable to the nice Sarasota downtown and the bayfront. It is located on the edge of an old residential neighborhood and there is a lot of interesting new housing being built on her street and nearby. The unit is quiet and immaculate. Stephanie was very easy to communicate with (altho' we did not meet her in person) and check-in/out were a breeze.

My husband and I took a spontaneous trip to Sarasota and were able to book Stephanie's place at the last minute. It was wonderful! Everything we could have needed, private parking, centrally located. Also, we really underestimated the massage chair, it was excellent and a great bonus! Stephanie was very easy to communicate with and took care of everything. Everything we needed for the beach, including towels and beach bag was very nice. Would certainly stay here again.

What's marvelous place! It fit our needs exactly. Great location, neat, clean, fresh and new.
The home is near downtown and walkable to so much in the city. We brought our bikes to make it even easier and Stephanie allowed us to lock them up on the patio. You can even kayak from the city launch just a block away.
The room was spotless. Ample room for two for an entire week. Everything was in working order with all the necessities plus (washer/dryer, small kitchen appliances, full size fridge, etc). We made breakfast everyday which was convenient.
Stephanie was a great host available when needed but also allowed us our privacy.
You can't go wrong with this one.
